Today, we used a free online image editor called "Bighugelabs.com" to create our own images. I think this could have educational uses by letting Students add text to images relating to the subject. This could let them give information on the topic without having to go up in front of the class to present it. It would also let students organize a collage of pictures from a certain area or country, then post it with a map to help explain how life in that area is.

Sorry about forgetting last week. Nothing really happened, so I didn't bother posting.
Not much happened this week either. I guess you could count me getting a bit of a personal fitness record today, running 3 times around the track in Gym without having to slow down and catch my breath. I know, I'm out of shape. Also, I gifted my friend Ed a copy of Garry's Mod, and another of my friends can host his own dedicated server, so me and a few of my other friends are planning on having a gm_bigcity get together. Looking forward to it.

Thinking of getting a new Graphics card
I'm usually thinking of ways to make Flight Simulator X run better then it already does. My AMD Athlon X4 630 Processor, working together with my Nvidia Ge-force 9400 give a good ammount of performance. Default aircraft, and most freeware, run well, even on high settings. But it's the payware that's still giving me trouble. Aerosoft F-16. Captain Sim 757. PMDG 747X. I can run the F-16 with only a small ammount of lag when I really stress the PC, and the 757 is flyable with some tweaking to the settings (although I hear a recent patch makes it more FPS friendly). The 747 runs well enough outside, but the VC really lags me up for some reason, no matter what I do. I have heard many good things about the Nvidia Ge-force 9800. Such as how it is the ultamite gaming card, there's nothing it can't do, there's no alternative, ect. I checked the price, and it's only about $130. So, I've decided I'm going to try and save up for it. First though, I;m saving up for a new PSP. I have a bit of an unsettled score with Ace Combat X, plus there's Ace Combat Joint Assault coming out this summer.
5 best looking combat aircraft
I was originally thinking of making this as a blog post, but decided to use the idea for this small project instead. Not my best film (mainly because I was using a free online movie maker), but it works. Sorry about the lack of music, i couldn't figure out how to get a song from my home PC onto the school one.

Portal update makes us all go WTH
A recent update to Valve's First Person puzzle game "Portal" has stumped the gaminbg community. The only thing that has been noticed (as Valve are known for easter eggs and hidden suprises) is a change to the Radio. The radio still plays the latinized version of Still Alive, the game's end credit song, but it has a new red light on it. Radios are now hidden in every test chamber, and presumably in the escape levels as well. If you find all the radios and bring them to a certain point in the map, an achievment unlocks, the light turns green, and the radio goes from playing a song to playing Morse code. It will also unlock a new ending.
Oh Valve, you be trollin' again.

Got home today, and we still had no power. So I went over to my friends' house for a while, then returned to see lights on. Anyway, here I am.
Not much happened this week. The highlight, though, has to be that storm Thursday night. Holy cripes, Mother Nature had one of those "U mad" moments, that's for sure. When day came and I was able to survay the damage, I couldn't believe it. Streetlights were hanging off their poles by their wires. street signs were bent over, branches and pines were all over the street. It looked a bit like, uh, we had really strong winds? Just a guess.
So, now I get to start the weekend. Happy day!
